Frequently asked questions
Is Number Beasts free?
Yes. Number Beasts is completely free on iPhone, iPad and the web. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no loot boxes and no account. Every beast, skill and cosmetic is earned by playing.
Is there an iPhone and iPad app?
A free iPhone and iPad app, Number Beasts: Bond Lab (iOS 18 or later), is on its way to the App Store; the download button appears here as soon as Apple releases it. It is free, plays fully offline and collects no data. Until then, Bond Lab is free to play in your browser.
What is Bond Lab?
Bond Lab is the puzzle side of Number Beasts. You launch a number into a beast: if they make 10 exactly the beast bonds and pops, if the sum is short the beast grows, and if you overshoot the leftover carries on to the next beast (bridging through ten). A leftover that flies out drops back as a new beast, so exact planning wins. There are 45 handcrafted stages in three worlds with mirrors, gravity, shuttles, splitters, converters and gates, plus a seeded Daily Lab. Every stage is proven solvable by a built-in solver.
How do you play Number Beasts?
In Bond Lab you pick a number from your hand, tap the beast you want to hit and press Launch; with aim assist on, the full path and the exact sum it will make (such as 4+6=10) are shown before you fire. In the Arcade Adventure you connect number orbs that add up to the target, such as 6 + 4 to make 10. A correct path arms a shot: aim it, fire, and your energy balls ricochet around the arena to break crystals, rescue creatures and beat bosses. Each level has a limited number of shots, so both the answer you choose and where you aim matter.
What math does it practise?
Number bonds and mental addition: make 5, make 10, make 20, make 50 and make 100, with two-, three- and four-number paths. Math difficulty is adjustable separately from game speed.
Who is it for?
Anyone who can add. Younger players start with Make 10 at a relaxed speed; older kids and adults take on Make 50, Make 100 and boss fights. It is a real arcade game first, with the maths built into every shot.
Does it work on school Chromebooks?
Yes. The web version runs in Chrome with keyboard, mouse or touch, lowers graphics automatically on slower devices, keeps working offline once loaded, and has a classroom mode with no shop, no sharing and no external links.
Does it collect any data?
No. Progress is saved only on your device. Neither the app nor the website uses analytics, advertising or tracking.
